We are looking for bright, energetic individuals that have excellent technical abilities coupled with the savvy to manage client and vendor relationships.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following duties:

Provides specialized application technical support of the FIX Gateway and book feeds

Establishes and manages the relationship with the client’s technical contact.

Discusses connectivity options with the customer. Analyzes customer requirements and provides connectivity solutions. This can include an explanation of the FIX interface, quote architecture, networking (static routes, firewall rules) or Exchange Certification requirements.

Coordinates with various internal/external groups (order management systems, third party networks, telecommunications vendor, operations) to implement connectivity.

Verifies connectivity from the router to the client’s trade desk.

Fields client technical calls.

Manages customer migrations and drives installations/upgrades

Conducts testing of applications as necessary

Performs all other duties and completes projects as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Interfaces regularly with clients, vendors and the Sales, Trade Desk, and Operations groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
Requires proficiency in the FIX protocol.
Requires demonstrated ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems involving trading applications, industry standard operating systems, LANs, WANs, protocols and interfaces.
Must be able to assess, research, and propose solutions to technical problems without support.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and feel comfortable discussing financial business concepts with customers
Requires demonstrated ability to be decisive, flexible, creative, and pay attention to details.
Must be customer-focused and energetic.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years FIX (Financial Information Exchange) protocol experience. ITCH protocol experience a plus.
Minimum of five years related technical experience, to include detailed knowledge of TCP/IP networking and NT system administration.
Minimum of two years securities industry knowledge, preferably in Equities.
Requires user proficiency with PC hardware and standard software.
Programming experience a plus.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Services, or a related field.
