Department Overview:
The group is based in NY and provides FIX connectivity on boarding to global buy side clients that are housed in multiple locations. The group supports various asset classes used for trading and reporting. They provide second and third level support to external FIX clients. The group interfaces directly with internal/external clients and works closely with the ecommerce sales group for FX/Futures/Equity/Commodity/Fixed Income
Main Function of the Job:
The position deals with FIX client connectivity and connectivity to OTC and Exchange traded products.
Main Duties:
The primary responsibilities of this position include testing and integration of new FIX Electronic Trading Order Management and Routing infrastructure. As a member of the FIX Client Connectivity team, a candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of FIX Interfaces between xxxxxxx and our external clients. Daily responsibilities include managing the configuration and testing of xxxxxxxxx FIX Gateway that provide our clients with access to proprietary front-end trading applications, strategy engines and direct exchange destinations. This position involves working very closely with Equity/Futures/Fixed Income/FX business unit clients, xxxxxxxxApplication Development groups and Third Party Vendors to establish system requirements. It will require designing FIX specification and FIX message format to accommodate the individual trading and order handling requirements of our clients. The responsibilities of this position include the planning, execution and support of turnovers/upgrades to implement new infrastructure and upgrade existing systems in the simulation environment.
