Technical team member to join the connectivity group to support investment banking operations.
Responsibilities are as follows:

Development and production support for the Client Connectivity group of 4 to 6 people, which provides electronic connectivity from customers to the equities trading system. This involves analysis of end-to-end processes, including development of components in C++ and Java. -
Will be responsible for Appia FIX engine across all equities groups. This engine serves as point of entry for electronic connectivity from clients to various internal systems. Also, to manage and develop core components and mentor various departments in rolling out components developed in TIBCO, UNIX and Java. -
Will be responsible for administration and understanding of CORBA server used to
apply various levels of business logic to external client orders in a manner that maximizes flexibility to meet clients’ individual needs. Requires knowledge in Java, CORBA, XML & Sybase.

Also, responsible for conversion of client connectivity environment from proprietary publish/subscribe messaging system to utilize TIBCO publish/subscribe messaging system
using TIBCO & XML.

Requires supporting a Sybase backend as well as clients to receive and send updates on
system processes. May require some development on web front-end to allow monitoring of real-time status of these system events using C++, Java, CORBA, Java Servlets and WebLogic.

Also, responsible for enhancements to other C++ CORBA Servers processes relating to security information, data validation, and exchange connectivity servers. -
Requires experience in an investment bank or a trading environment.
