FIX Technical Consultant
This role is a combination of high-level network design, management and support, Interface development support for customer connectivity (primarily FIX) & development work for project initiatives.
Main responsibilities are as follows;
- Implementations at client site.
- Design and management of network requirements in conjunction with the technical infrastructure and security teams.
- Design and implementation of FIX connectivity
- Second line support in terms of FIX development and connectivity
- FIX technical support to the first line support desk
- Liaising internally on network issues
- Providing technical support for managed systems
Development - Working on the development of technology enhancements to support expansion.
- Manage testing of software releases
Requisite experience
- Honours degree in IT related subject
- Minimum two years experience in a network support role
- Experience with at least two of the following: TCP/IP, SSH, HTTP, SMTP, VPN
- Programming skills in one or several of the following: C; Visual Basic; Java; Perl; Tcl
- Knowledge of Unix and Windows NT operating systems
- Problem solving skills
- Flexible and creative approach
This position is based in London, salary is totally negotiable for the right candidate.
