The Desktop Analyst provides support for all aspects of technology delivered to the desktop. This involves supporting W2K and a diverse variety of applications.
Dealing with customer non-fault related requests e.g. Technology Purchases.
Market Data support.
Supporting video conferencing NY.
Liase with business areas providing guidance and solutions, identify technology enhancements pro-actively with a view to improving day to day productivity. This should be carried out within an agreed Project Management Approach.
At least 5 years of relevant experience (Trade Floor experience is essential)
Practical application of technical knowledge in a high pressure, time critical environment would be beneficial.
Some practical support experience is essential.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Min 2 years Linux (Redhat) experience is essential
FIX 4.2
Some UNIX knowledge
Server Administration experience (Windows 2000 / NT)
Market Data : Reuters, Bloomberg
MS Office Professional (All Flavours) with some VB
Understanding networking (TCP / IP)
MS Outlook
Knowledge of blackberry Technology
