Leading 1st Tier Investment Bank in London is looking to strengthen their electronic trading offering by hiring a high calibre technologist.
The opportunity is to further design and develop the technical infrastructure that has contributed to this organisation being the working example of trading electronically.
The position is key and will require the right candidate to possess outstanding “hands on” design and development capabilities. Majority of the focus will be on FIX and ideally you have either designed a proprietary FIX gateway or had experience developing engines or tools for a vendor. You need to have a strong understanding of the capital market business area and ideally have knowledge of different financial products (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, etc). Any experience developing FIX to other financial products other than equities would be highly desirable (though not essential).
Technical environment will be Java & C++ on a UNIX platform (Solaris).
Profile:
• You will be expected to add immediate value to the team through strong programming, analysis and design skills
• Willing to perform a wide range of development work including support
• Must posses high level of client-facing skills to deal well with external clients, vendors as well as internal users
• Posses the interpersonal skills to work in a global environment
• Have demonstrable track record seeing projects from development to production
