The Client Interface Application group at Nasdaq is looking for an experienced Development Manager who is both innovative and delivery focused. The Development Manager will play leading role in coordinating and driving a high performance team to aggressive milestones to support the development and maintenance of an application supporting the Financial Information exchange (FIX) protocol.
The Development Manager will provide project management, analysis and design, services to the Nasdaq. Specifically, the Development Manager will be responsible for managing the requirements, and development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
·Develops and maintains project plans that clearly communicate dependencies and risks for the projects.
·Directly manages programmers through the software development lifecycle.
·Eliminates all barriers to progress for the programmers.
·Communicates the status, and receives requirements from the business team.
Manages the rollout and implementation schedule of software.
Skills / Experience:
·10 years of project management experience of software development projects.
·Experience in supporting and developing Financial Information exchange (FIX) protocol required.
·Experience managing outsourced development or software vendors preferred.
·Experience managing / architecting high volume electronic messaging systems preferred.
·3 years experience architecting and maintaining client and server side Java systems.
·Experience in the financial services is preferred.
·Strong analytical and organizational skills
·University degree in finance, commerce or computers preferred
·Excellent oral and written skills with the proven ability to express complex ideas in a clear, concise and simple manner
·Ability to work effectively with clients, systems management employees and staff.
