1 Can Acceptor (sell side Fix Engine) initiate the socket Connection and sends the logon request ?
2 If Yes, After succuesful logon response Buy side application can send New Order Single Request. Is it as per FIX standard ?

1) Which party that initiates a connection is per bilateral agreement between the buy and sell side and is nothing the FIX standard controls.
- That is per FIX standard. When a connection is successfully established, both parties may start sending application level messages no matter who initiated it.

In the normal business scenario, its the buy side who initiates the conection. Fix protocol does not specifically states as to who should initiate the connection. As per Fix its just initiator and acceptor. Once the acceptor has accepted the logon message, the initiator can start sending new orders and requests. There’s no standard time set by FIX for order releases. It all has to be mutually agreed between the two parties.
