Tier 1 Investmnet Bank seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a team responsible for providing technology support for the Front Office Client Connectivity initiative.
Ideally you will have between 3-6 years relevant experience.
The service includes Direct Market Access, Program Trading, Algorithmic Stock Trading, Allocations, Indications of Interest and other products and markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Infrastructure configuration of the FIX Engine to receive client connections and route them on.
*Understanding client requirements and configuration of any client specific functionality
*Working with the networks team
*Analysing and resolving any technical issues that arise during the on-boarding process
*Coordination with Release Management for Production environment releases
*Owning and managing the UAT testing environment from a technical perspective
*Release Management
*Liaising with vendors to understand their release strategies, raising bugs, evaluating new version, etc.
*Production of support documentation and involvement in training support staff.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Essential
UNIX – Systems Admin, environment, scripts, cron, PERL, etc.
Software Development Life Cycle
Configuration Management tools (Clearcase)
Previous experience within an investment banking environment.
Good communications skills (verbal and written)
Good educational standard – graduate level.
Self-starter and willing to take ownership
Advantageous
Knowledge of the Front Office trading lifecycle
Knowledge of the FIX protocol and practical implementation of it
Publish and subscribe middleware (TIB Rendezvous)
