Could anyone point me to specs, documents, working groups, or good sources of information that cover the use of FIX Exchange Traded Funds? I’m most interested in FIX in info about the creation and the redemption of ETFs.
I haven’t been able to find much about FIX and ETFs on fixtrading.org or the web. I did find some info about Collective Investment Vehicles in vol 7 of the FIX 5.0 SP2 spec. But that section of the document said “the FIX messages for CIV do not address Exchange Traded Funds, closed funds such as Investment Trusts or other scenarios where CIVs are traded as if they were equities.” But that doesn’t cover the create and the redemption of ETFs.
