Is the FIX Extension Pack process always cumulative and expected to remain so? For example:
The latest EP is 240 “CME Average Pricing and Markup Extensions”. Does the content of this EP roll up the content of all EPs which pre-date it (those with lower EP numbers).
Simple answer is “yes”. This is important for automated software development when you use the FIX Repository. The published XML files are always complete (not specific to an EP) and always contain the results of all prior EPs. We may go back and fix an error in a prior EP but only in addition to the latest EP. Hence we advise to always use the latest EP. This is also the one displayed in FIXimate on the website (http://fiximate.fixtrading.org/latestEP).
