With regards to my previous posting today - I have since spoken with the relevant manager about the FIX Business Analyst role and the specification has slightly changed its more of a testing role.
I’m now on the search for a:
FIX Front Office Tester
Investment Bank in Docklands.
Duration: 3-6 months
Daily Rate: £400-£500 a day
The role is to work as part of the Executive Services which responsible for systems that connect internal users to global derivative and equity exchanges to allow order execution and are responsible for systems that provide a GUI to allow external users to execute orders on external exchanges. They are also responsible for systems that provide a FIX connection to allow external users to execute orders on external exchanges.
In order to be considered for this role you need to have past banking experience with system enhancements and co-coordinating the scheduling, implementations. Testing and release of those enhancements and testing of the software releases prior to user acceptance testing.
Main duties of this role include:
· Test planning
· Execution of test plans
· Sign-off of implementation/testing from an IT perspective
· Management of other teams involved in the system enhancements/testing
You will also need have 4 years + in a similar role and business knowledge of preferably Equities and Futures and Options.
