Personally responsible for meeting key deadlines on assigned projects; managing and co-ordinating the day-to-day project tasks and tasking project staff on product and service projects.
Responsible for facilitating communication and access to resources in order to insure the success of our clients.
Qualities Required
Ability to help clients define their needs and understand how we can help them
Ability to think and work with long-term ‘big pictures’ in mind.
Ability to produce quality communications, including effective presentations, reports and Project plans. Good written and spoken English
Ability to compose clear and effective letters and emails
Ability to listen to, and understand a customer’s needs and then to suggest solutions and/or alternative strategies to meet those needs
Ability to interact effectively with other staff, whilst being aware of their need to carry out their own work
Ability to organize well, to set goals, to plan and execute the plan successfully
Ability to manage and ensure proper implementation and compliance with all policies and procedures
Duties
Effectively manage assigned projects to completion
Facilitating communication and access to resources in order to insure the success of assigned projects
Managing project transitions between functional groups and project phases
Reporting project status on a weekly, biweekly and monthly basis and conducting regular project meetings
Responsible for managing the “risk” to ensure project profitability is maintained
Able to encourage teamwork, provide guidance to technical staff, and interact with clients
Ensuring proper communication among team members and management
Create proposals and project deliverables, identify project risks and manage expectations, and manage technical teams to assure completion of engagements. Act as primary liaison between company and client, providing operational management of the assigned team
Pre-requisite Experience
Five or more years experience working in the Financial Services market in a project management role.
A formal project management qualification is desirable.
