FIX Project Manager/Non-Technical role however if you should come from a teachnical back ground.
The project manager serves as the project lead on client implementations, providing guidance and direction to other team members and assumes accountability for setting and meeting client expectations.
Business Development
Support Sales Executives and Account Managers with pre-implementation scoping and where applicable in pre sales mode.
Develop client relationships and articulate client issues to regional product management.
Identify additional opportunities for business through extension of existing work or through new work within existing accounts.
Participate in crafting solutions for consultative opportunities.
Implementations
Provide project management service to clients implementing Our clients solutions and act as primary point of contact for lifecycle of implementation. Demonstrate solid product understanding and method for achieving demonstrable value for customers.
Manage the scope of the project.
Complete and/or supervise the completion of all assigned tasks, on time.
Assist in the balance of internal vs. external activities.
Able to work independently and manage project scope and client expectations.
Follow subscribed methodology during project life cycle.
Report on status of projects, milestones, risks and issues.
Ensure appropriate escalation of any issues that can impact budget or deadline.
Actively lead, motivate, and challenge a team.
Serve as mentor to project management consultants on team.
Resolve escalated issues and manage client concerns as necessary. Function as an escalation point for consultants to assist in resolution of client issues.
Make recommendations to improve on existing methodologies and contribute to best practices on regular basis.
Identify ways to improve efficiencies and reduce length of standard implementation engagements.
Metrics
.Reduce the practice book to bill ratio.
.Improve overall client satisfaction ratings on implementation projects.
.Meet billable utilization metric established for consultants.
.Increase practice revenues
.At least five years of project management experience preferably with a vendor project management/consultative role.
.At least 1 year experience working with Trade Settlement Processes, i.e. knowledge of Standard Settlement Instructions, SWIFT messaging and custody.
.An understanding of the Institutional Trade Flow and Trade Processing business, i.e. knowledge of FIX, Electronic Trade Confirmation, Straight Through Processing (STP) and the current industry initiatives.
.Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships at all levels business and technical.
.Ability to excel in autonomous role.
.Prince Certified Project Manager or extended experience.
.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
.Proficient with Microsoft Project.
.Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
.Fluency in a second European language would be considered an advantage.
.Must be available to travel up to 40% and flexible to travel worldwide.
