Sr. Software Quality Engineer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Design and develop test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical understanding of product architecture.
· Review requirements to assess technical risk and compliance with FIX Protocol.
· Suggest plan for automation of testing and customer certification.
· Create customer certification test procedures
· Strive for automation, working closely with automated test developers.
· Run regressions, load test, and system tests for new product releases.
· Create new automated test cases and update existing automated test cases from existing manual tests or from written documentation.
· Integrate product knowledge from testers, developers and product managers into the automated testing plans.
· Assist in reproducing, investigating and debugging software issues in coordination with Support and Development.
· Work in MS Excel and scripting languages to develop and run automated tests.
· Recommend product improvements or corrections.
· Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing and correction
Required Skills:
· 5+ Years of Software Quality assurance experience
· Expert in MS Excel, VBA, Perl or other scripting languages
· 2+ Years of experience with the FIX Protocol
