FIX NETWORK SPECIALIST - Burlington, MA
A staff position responsible for coordinating service delivery, changes, and support. For straightforward situations, responsible for implementing, testing, certifying, and problem support/resolution for Charles River Network Clients.
Responsibilities:
• Support team efforts to sustain a “five nines” level of availability for Charles River Network Clients.
• Coordinate with Clients, internal Charles River colleagues, and network vendor(s) to facilitate the following service-related functions:
o Design, specification, and provisioning
o Testing and certification
o Go-live implementation
o On-going changes and enhancements
o Problem troubleshooting, support, and resolution
o For straightforward situations, perform the aforementioned tasks.
• Follow departmental procedures to ensure timely, high quality delivery of service to Charles River Network Clients
• Ensure all Network Services database information and documentation is accurate and current.
Requirements:
• Proven ability to work in a mission critical operations and support environment.
• Some high level knowledge and understanding of Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN).
• Ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
• Periodic off-hours support.
• Occasional travel to customer sites to perform on site customization, testing, or troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 years experience with FIX administration and support.
• 3 years experience in the securities trading industry preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for technical troubleshooting.
A background in portfolio management and trading system applications is preferred.
