Hi All, I’m working with a broker for their algo certifications. They are seding frequent 150=B messages in between regular fills. Do you guys know what exactly 150=B (calculated) should be used for. They say it’s just an informative message. I tried searching on web, but couldn’t find anything other than 150=B is calculated message. Doesn’t exactly say what it is supposed to be used for, how frequently etc etc. It would be great if someone can throw some light on this.
Hi,
In our case, we are sending this kind of message when a trade is booked in back-office system. The execution report should contain commission and taxation elements. When a “calculated” is received, the counterparty can consider that the execution is definitive; no cancellation or correction of executions regarding previous executions received before can be send after that point. Usually, this message is sent when no more executions can occur for the rest of the day. It can be used as a trigger

Execution Report “Calculated” is the closest FIX equivalent to what SWIFT and other post-trade processes refer to as a “Notice of Execution” (not a partial fill). It is a summary of the total amount done and the monetary components of a ‘block-level’ trade (eg before Allocation). Honestly, I’ve rarely ever seen our counterparties send them to us, though. It could be used to ‘trigger’ subsequent post-trade processing, however, “Done for the Day” has also been used for such a triggering mechanism (though, it DFD would not specify monetary totals).

I have captured this in FIXwiki at Welcome fixwiki.org - BlueHost.com
