Are there any efforts/products out there where FIX protocol is converted to SNA for Mainframe to process backoffice data?

I am not aware of anyone who has implemented the FIX protocol at a session-level on top of SNA (i.e. APPC). We and others interface data communicated via FIX with order management systems which reside on mainframes, however, at least in our implementation, we have processes "in between" which de-parse and understand FIX data (transmitted via TCP/IP with a counterparty) and which have the ability to access and update data and processes residing on the mainframe via a variety of choices some of which may involve a SNA transport layer at some point. TCP/IP definitely appears to be the transport protocol of choice for the actual FIX session.

Tried to research same issue, but didn’t found any quick solutions, looks like we have to write own pgms to convert FIXML back and forth.
Where is an advantate of FIXML ???
