Fixed Income Network Manager
A top financial institution in the NYC area is currently looking for a Fixed Income network manager. This person will be responsible for auditing, documenting and testing the existing ECN infrastructure to ensure the highest availability to its global user base.
Responsibilities:
Documenting current ECN environments and network connectivity.
Fully testing, documenting and reporting of fail over strategies for each exchange.
Developing monitoring tools to manage network outages/delays
Liaison with Fixed Income business units and vendors to decide how to implement BCP solutions for the exchanges.
Develop and implement tools to maintain, monitor and troubleshoot applications, automating when possible.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience
Excellent knowledge of networking/TCP-IP/routing technologies
Strong understanding of firewall technologies
Experience with messaging technologies, such as Corba, publish/suscribe, etc.)
Strong Unix/Solaris experience with extensive knowledge of Unix commands, scripting, administration/troubleshooting skills
Experience managing Fixed Income ECN networks/connectivity
Occasional remote site work.
