Can I use FIXimulator ([http://fiximulator.org/index.php?slug=home](http://fiximulator.org/index.php?slug=home)) instead for Quikcfix ? Official site refers that the FIXimulator bases on Quickfix Java. Is it the same thing or the FIXimulator can have such restrictions like to not support FIX 4.4 or TLS 1.3 in encryptions or multi-sessions etc … ?

Looks like FIXimulator is the result of a master thesis and done by a single person back in 2009. QuickFIX is an entire community that keeps uptodate. I do not know what the scope of FIXimulator is and how that compares to a QuickFIX engine.

From [http://fiximulator.org](http://fiximulator.org)

> FIXimulator is a Java based sell-side FIX trading application built on the open source QuickFIX/J FIX engine.

So it doesn’t help you any further. You still need to implement something using QuickFIX/J.
