FixSpec Limited is pleased to announce that FixSpec.com has now finished it’s beta phase and is now formally live. Introduced one month ago, the website helps FIX connect faster and easier by providing web tools to address common inefficiencies in the development process.
Today we are also launching a free FIX decoder tool which converts raw FIX messages into a human-readable format. The parsing happens locally on the user’s PC/Mac to ensure that sensitive data never leaves the firm.
We are also pleased to announce that we’ve now surpassed the milestone of 100 FIX specifications indexed on our specification search engine. We are always looking for more specs though, so please get in touch if you have specs we haven’t indexed.

This looks really cool - do you guys have any plan to provide an API that would let other people access the specifications that are centralized on your site?

Yes, absolutely - it isn’t in anybody’s interest to take the information from one inaccessible format (PDF) and put into another one that people couldn’t access, so an API for vendors and developers to access the data is definitely on the roadmap.
