FixSpec Puts Free Tools On Developers Desktop With Free Eclipse Plugin

Imported from previous forum

FixSpec announce the launch of a free plugin for the popular Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE), integrating the power of FixSpec tools directly into the developers desktop. Developers can now search, save and view trading and market data specifications without ever leaving the IDE, and use simple right-click actions to decode FIX message directly from their console window.

FixSpec partner Mahendra Patil commented "While we already have many cool tools for developers on FixSpec.com, firing up a browser to use them means extra steps, losing your train of thought and - let's face it – the temptation to check other things while in your browser. As an ex-gateway nerd myself, I know how few tools there are out there, and I would have loved to have something like this to make my work even more productive."

"In the last two months we've released a new, responsive website for mobile devices, an extension for the popular Chrome browser, and now an Eclipse plugin for developers" commented founder Chris Lees. "It's all part of our push to disrupt the way the industry shares and codes to API specifications which we believe is deeply inefficient. Our free tools make developers and business analysts look like superheroes by giving them easier access to the information they need to integrate faster and with fewer errors. For trading venues, networks and brokers, that means getting clients and revenue in the door faster."

The eclipse and Chrome plugins are available from the following links. Both are provided free of charge and require a free FixSpec.com registration.

  1. Eclipse plugin for developers
  2. Chrome plugin for business users
