DESCRIPTION:
A “hands on” technical leader needed to manage projects in the Foreign Exchange Analytics Group. This person will be responsible for working closely with business representatives to understand business needs, translate these into effective designs and project plans, and lead the
project through construction to deployment. As a project lead, this person will be providing direction and focus to the team, fostering an open and cooperative environment and guiding the development of team members. The candidate will have financial industry knowledge in the areas of FX analytics and/or derivatives as well as experience with technical architecture, OO analysis and design, user interfaces, and software refactoring.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years industry experience required/10+ preferred
- 5+ years C++/OOAD application development experience – willing to do coding
- Expertise in code design and quality as well as refactoring
- Hands on experience with some of the following: STL/Boost/Design Patterns/RogueWave
- 2+ years industry experience with FX/derivative analysis and valuation
- 2+ years project management experience
- Industry experience designing and developing user interfaces
- “Playing to Win” attitude where getting product in the hands of customers is paramount.
- Proven ability to deliver business value – (the candidate must be able to clearly point to past successes)
- Strong communicator with ability to coordinate and follow up aggressively
- Proven ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Proven ability to reach consensus and build effective working relationships
- Proven ability to respond under pressure and tight deadlines; multitasking;
- Disciplined and detail organized
- Creative thinker with strong analytical skills

• Advanced technical degree or MBA

• Advanced UNIX skills such as threading, systems programming
