Principal Responsibilities

  1. Deliver a project identified in the portfolio to implement an FX Order Management system within agreed time, cost and quality constraints. The application is a vendor based solution from Reuters and requires deployment in 3 geographic locations.
  2. Comply with the requirements of Project Management Minimum Standards and Systems Development Methodology.
  3. Stakeholder management, involving close liaison with key stakeholders in the front and back office, in Business Programme Management, throughout the project lifecycle, building strong working relationships, managing expectations, etc.
  4. Identify, track, manage and mitigate risks facing the successful execution of the project. Identify, track and manage internal and external dependencies impacting the programme. Address and resolve any issues arising.
  5. Manage vendor relations on a day to day basis.

Technical Experience

  1. Previous project management experience within a technology environment is essential.
  2. Previous experience of managing the work of technology staff either in a support or development environment is essential.
  3. Relevant systems knowledge e.g. Reuters Order Management system would be preferred. We will consider experience with other FX order systems (vendor or in house).
  4. Basic competency with Unix

Business Experience

  1. At least three years financial services experience.
  2. Relevant FX business knowledge would be beneficial.
  3. Experience of working with Front Office traders would be beneficial.
