This is a newly created role with a global investment bank, which will see you taking responsibility for the delivery and strategic direction of Market Data Services. Based within a dedicated technical team, you will manage relationships with the business, internal infrastructure teams, vendors and senior management. This role requires a rare individual who is able to operate both tactically and strategically across the organisation.
Ideally, you have experience with market data technology either from the perspective of the vendor or from within the finance sector. The key skills and attributes sought by the client include:
· Finance sector experience, preferably financial markets
· Ability to operate at senior levels within a global organisation
· Ability to assess technology strategically
· Strong leadership skills including the ability to influence outcomes across many technical teams
· Delivery focus combined with project management
· Financial management such as cost – benefit analysis and the ability to manage the costs of the services.
Prima Facie, this role is not technical, however a technical background and understanding of Market Data technology will be an advantage.
