Chicago: 14 March 2005 - Leading Chicago-based FIX Test-Certification service provider, Greenline Financial Technologies Inc. today announced the release of the latest version of its FIX Protocol Testing Suite, VeriFIX 3.0. The 3.0 version provides robust conditional logic testing functions, a new results verification module, and enhanced load and performance testing capabilities. This release is Greenline’s most feature-rich release to date and has already seen rapid adoption in the United States, Europe, and Australia.

VeriFIX 3.0 can be deployed to function as either a server or a client simulator for both buy-side & sell-side scenarios. Its ‘Malformed Message’ capabilities have been greatly improved to allow the testing of negative and positive scenarios to validate system response to corrupted order strings. For load or dynamic testing, VeriFIX 3.0 also gives users the ability to create timing scenarios, in-flight fill scenarios, and perform pseudo-random price injection simply by specifying a ‘min/max’ level and a quantity of messages.
Using the ‘Scenario Editor’ in VeriFIX 3.0, QA analysts, business analysts, developers and other FIX connectivity professionals can quickly create custom test scripts to perform thread management testing, performance testing, or high-speed order injection scenarios. For regularly scheduled testing or processing of multiple scenarios, VeriFIX 3.0 also offers a command-line driven batch mode. Additionally, VeriFIX 3.0 has an XML-based rules engine that makes it easy to parse out XML files and create scripts to automate regression testing. No programming or scripting language experience is required to set up complex scenarios.
For analysis, users can play test scenarios back in a straightforward, CD-like recorder and view historical logs of all test runs in a detailed, easy-to-sort manner using VeriFIX 3.0’s ‘Results Verifier’.
