Chicago: September 8, 2005 - Leading electronic trading solutions provider, Greenline Financial Technologies Inc. today announced the release of the latest version of its FIX Protocol Certification system, CertiFIX 2.0. CertiFIX is a centrally managed certification workflow tool that reduces certification costs while optimizing clients’ interactions with their customers. This release focuses on simplification of test script creation, greater simulation capabilities, and improved centralized management of certification.
CertiFIX automates the certification process for clients of FIX enabled exchanges and financial institutions. Today, a number of these organizations have departments dedicated to facilitating manual certification against their test environment. This can be a costly and time consuming effort if not effectively streamlined. CertiFIX reduces the costs of certification by providing a rich simulation environment that can be available to clients twenty four hours a day. Instead of having certification resources working through a lengthy certification process with clients, they can optimize their time to focus only on open issues, and proactively work with their customers.
“While the business mandate is there, to date, the marketplace has shown mixed responses to a customizable automated FIX certification suite. CertiFIX 2.0 can be deployed either in a hosted or a non-hosted environment, providing the customer flexibility in deployment and configuration unrivaled by any other product. It provides FIX adopters with the necessary tools to design and deploy tests for FIX versions 4.0 through 4.4 and any customizations of these versions. It also allows for customization of the look and feel to the particular branding of the financial institution. Certification scripts can be created either using the CertiFIX Builder product or by leveraging scripts created in VeriFIX. This includes scenarios covering business-level certification, FIX session certification, and exception based testing.
Certifying users access CertiFIX through a browser that displays a personalized set of certification scenarios for them to complete. Clients can view instructions on how to perform the tests as well as the detailed results of previously taken tests. CertiFIX is optimized for quick loading and execution of tests, and can be customized to mimic message timing or custom behavior associated with a client’s execution system.
Management of CertiFIX is performed through a centralized console. Administrators can manage multiple certification tests suites and view what each user is testing in real-time. In addition, the new release allows for management of a set of e-mail alerts that provide feedback on active customers, test failures, and new build notifications.
