Group Allocations and Trades

Imported from previous forum

Hi,

What is the provision ( if any ) of Group Trades and Group Allocations in FIX.

Following is my understanding of the terms used in above question.

Trades with same symbol and side, grouped together can be called Group Trades.

Allocations performed on such Group Trades can be called as Group Allocations.

Trades are the collective representation of all the executions on orders.

Thank you.

Hi,

Each trade making up the group would be specified on the “Group” Allocation message. They would be defined in the NoOrders repeating group:

NoOrder<73> = number of orders in the group being included in this single Allocation message

ClOrdID<11> - set for each group order to the value on the FIX order message or “MANUAL”

OrdeID<37> - set for each group order to the value supplied on the FIX Execution Report messages for each order. This field is not mandatory.

I hope that I have understood your scenario correct. Happy to discuss further if you would like to contact me.

Regards,
ALvin
