Currently looking at ways of connecting to EURONEXT via FIX engine (rather than an OMS adapter). Please let me know if you are aware that this has been attempted (and maybe succefully completed).

Euronext has a FIX interface that a FIX engine can connect up to. However Euronext has made some significant changes to the FIX protocol that require an adapter to ‘translate’ from the standard FIX protocol to Euronext.

Some FIX engine providers, including Cameron Systems, sell a FIX engine with an adapter that can connect to Euronext.

I suggest you contact Euronext for a document on their FIX interface.

The Appia FIX engine from Javelin Technologies supports connecting to EURONEXT.

Hi,

Apt has connected both clients and routing hubs to Euronext via FIX. The main issues are the funky session layer that Euronext has - there are subtle differences if you are a client or a hub - and the amount of messages that are sent and received.

The open source QuickFIX engine can be configured to use different data dictionaries:

http://www.quickfixengine.org

In this way it could be tailored to access EuroNext quite easily.

Actually, we know of a successful connection of QuickFIX to EuroNext. So if you need assistance please drop me an e-mail.
