Position Description:
Head of Enterprise Application Infrastructure
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
The Head of Enterprise Application Infrastructure will report to the Head of Technology Architecture for Morgan Stanley’s retail business. This position will manage the Enterprise Application Infrastructure team consisting of 10-12 permanent tools developers and 6-8 consultants.
Specific duties will include:
· Develop the Enterprise Application Infrastructure (EAI) team charter and membership.
· Develop the EAI Governance model with the Project Management Office.
· Develop the EAI methodology including appropriate measures and metrics to ensure business impact.
· Support/Enable IT architecture through the development of services and development environments.
· Ensure the communication of services across the technology groups.
· Ensure appropriate training and education for the IT team.
· Develop technology alliances and partnerships with IT.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
· The successful candidate will have a broad IT background, with strong development skill and methodology.
· An ability to operate effectively in a large global enterprise with a high degree of business and cultural diversity is a must.
Additional characteristics should include:
· High degree of technical awareness and superior overall knowledge of IT areas.
· Proven ability in the development of technical partnerships.
· Proven ability as a lead developer.
· Sound understanding of infrastructure and security technologies.
· Excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will be a highly intelligent, self-confident leader; will bring a proven track record of success in a collaborative and participative management style; and possess a high degree of technical acumen, especially in tools development.

EAI / Lead - 3848 - This person will work closely with the Blueprints Architect and will be responsible for delivering application integration services, a development environment, and common application components. The successful candidate will be a very senior developer with a broad knowledge of technology. The characteristics described in (3) above apply to this role as well. The team they will lead will be about 12 full time employees and 8-10 consultants. This team will be all senior developers with hands on experience and responsibilities. This person must be willing to roll up their sleeves and participate in developing systems and applications.
