Equity Trading Support Specialist - Hong Kong

Global investment bank in Tokyo is looking to fill in the position of an Equity Trading Support Specialist.

A successful candidate works well under pressure, understands urgency, is service oriented, resourceful, fast, clear and vocal.

The specific duties for this support role are:

  • Participate in early morning shifts

  • Morning system checks

  • Morning triage. Troubleshooting whatever’s down in the morning

  • Monitor systems throughout the day

  • Outage management. Escalation to developers or infrastructure teams. Communication with the BU

  • User setup for various applications

  • Client setups for FIX trading. In depth FIX certification.

  • Adhoc reports. Possible small web tools. User training. Application upgrades. Special projects.

Technical Skill Requirements are :

  • Extensive experience of Unix/Linux platform, Sybase/SQL and scripting languages [Perl preferred].

  • Experience in Equity trading systems a plus

  • Experience in Support, Outage Management, Troubleshooting and Resolution

  • Experience/knowledge of the securities and brokerage sector, with focus equity trading infrastructure preferred.
