I’ve seen a couple of posts thus far either talking about not using namespaces, or showing examples without namespaces in them (even for 5.0SP2).
The official/generated XSDs use namespaces.
So, from a purist point of view, these messages therefore cannot technically be described as FIXML, as they do not validate against the FIXML schemas.
How widespread is this practice?
Its looking very much like I will need to develop a FIXML namespace repairing capability in my system, so as to cope with this kind of thing.
I also note that in one of the other threads, had the message been in the right namespace, a simple validation pass against the XSDs would have identified some of the things that are wrong with it.

I’m getting offline format that it is a very common practice
