How is the Broker Internal Account number ascertained by the broker on a FIX message?

I’m not sure if you’re referring to a particular message nor what “Broker Internal Account number” is, but I would think that you could use TargetSubID (or if using a third party’s network DeliverToSubID) to identify where a message should be directed to.

If you’re asking about a specific business message, please re-post identifying the message and how the field you’re referring to is used.

In generally this is done outside of the FIX protocol. It is the responsibility of the Broker to provide internal mapping between the account on the New Order message and their own internal account number.
