I do not. If it’s garbled and discarded, I do not consider it received. Thus TestRequests may be issued and if subsequent messages are garbled, additional TestRequests will be issued and eventually my “governor” will kick in and terminate the connection due to too many TestRequests/elapsed period with no response.

If you reset your inbound timer for garbled data, I think you run the risk of getting garbled data continously and never recognizing it.
