Hi,
I am going to be interviewed for a role which requires me to support a FIX hub, and carry out its general administration and management e.g. Making sure connections are up and running, starting up broken connections, etc. I have previously worked testing FIX messages as a tester, making sure FIX messages going from point A to point B are valid, and finding bugs if not.
What do I need to read in terms of reference material to prepare for ths interview? Can you give me links or names please.
Since I have my interview on Monday, a quick response would be much appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Hi there.
Are you really looking for interview help or trying to promote your blog? ![]()
This partly depends on how the FIXhub at your potential employer is configured and what it is configured on. So show interest in this and ASK QUESTIONS in the interview. Some FIXhubs have nice GUI interfaces which makes things easy while others are UNIX installaions. Depends on what you have worked with in the past…
If you have worked as a FIX tester you should know your FIX session messaging as well as the application messages which you have worked with in the past. If you understand FIX and FIX order flow you should be able to learn to admin a FIXhub quite easily. - its more about learning whatever specific hub you are going to be working with wrt topics such as SOD/EOD/session resets/connectivity tests/session times/session and admin message logs/performance/fail over ect.
