Invalid Logon attempts and sequence numbers

Should incoming and ougoing sequence numbers be increased after an invalid Logon attempt?

Example:
A sends a Logon (SeqNum 1) with an invalid SenderCompID to B.
B replies with a Logout (SeqNum 1) and immediately closes the connection.

What Sequence numbers should be used/expected by someone later trying to logon?
