# Item D11: Should race condition be considered for scenarios R13 and R14?

This race condition may arise when an Order is placed by the Customer against a firm Quote. The Quote goes off-the-wire whilst the order is being processed by the Execution Venue.

In particular, should the race condition be considered for scenarios R13 and R14 of the best practices document?

No. The venue decides when it’s off the wire. If the customer’s fronted is too slow it’s his problem.
