We are looking to fill a position in our Fixed Income & Equities Reference Data Division. These individuals will be part of a dynamic group that is responsible for defining and implementing centralized Client Reference Strategy. The candidate should possess 5+ years minimum experience building client/server applications with emphasis on Java, JSP, J2EE and DB2. The individual should have strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to work in high pace environment and multi-task. Experience with client reference data projects preferred.
Principle Responsibilities:
-Development and Support of the Java Based Client Data Services.
-Development and Support of Reference Data Applications, firm-wide Client Model.
-Enhancements for the several Browser Applications that interface with Thomson as well as local reference data hubs.
Experience/Skills:
-Java, J2EE and DB2 are a must.
-Minimum of 5+ years experience.
-Experience in full project life cycle.
-Strong analytical skills.
-Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
-Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Required Skills:
-Java
-J2EE Web App technologies - JSP, Servlets, JavaScript, HTML, XML, commonly used web application design patterns, etc.
-UDB/DB2
-Weblogic or equivalent
Nice to have:
-Server side J2EE - JDBC, EJB, JMS, etc.
-Knowledge of web application frameworks such as Spring, Struts, etc.
-JBoss
