JAVA developer European Client Connectivity (FIX Support)- LONDON
client connectivity team develops and supports electronic trading systems. The systems are used by clients to access both Worked Order and Direct Market Access(DMA)products. The technology currently used includes: JAVA, and the FIX protocol. The role will initially focus on the new JAVA based DMA products. Candidate must have demonstrable experience in developing highly multithreaded, performance critical, resilient code.
The candidate wshould come from a Financial Services background and will have worked in the industry for at least 3 years and have demonstrable knowledge of European financial systems (preferably equity trading systems).
Essential
• JAVA - 5 years, including significant multithreaded development for Tier 1 systems
• Shell scripting
• UNIX / LINUX - forensics performance analysis, trace system calls etc
• FIX protocol - 4.0 / 4.2
• JMX, Junit, Ant, Jprobe, CVS, UML, log4j
• Distributed system design
