If you like the challenge of building Java-based real-time systems that must monitor and respond to the marketplace in real-time - this is the opportunity you are looking for.

FTEN, Inc. is literally changing how organizations respond to the markets with leading edge solutions such as Intraday RiskXposure™.

We are currently expanding our team and are interested in individuals with the following skills:

Server side -

  • At least three years of Java development.
  • Past experience designing and developing real-time systems that process high volumes for a sustained period (e.g. our Intraday RiskXposure can easily process 1,000 trades/second sustained).
  • Good understanding of MSFT SQL Server and its performance characteristics.
  • Willingness to participate in a RAD methodology. The market moves fast… as so do we. We build top quality software by leveraging highly talented personel and a blend of RAD methodologies that has been very successful.
  • Understand and internalize the need for high quality regression testing.
  • Take responsibility for the code you develop when its in production… you will be expected to support the applications you develop if operations has any issues.
  • The desire to have an incredible time working with people as creative as you are.

Client side - We currently deploy our Java based applications via Web browsers to our clients.

Client side -

  • At least three years of Java development creating Java applets that run within a broswer.
  • Strong visual design skills to create truly useful views on the data to support our various client’s needs.
  • Reasonable understanding of communications protocols and their inherent limitations so new designs actually can support the throughput requirements for our applications…
  • Willingness to participate in a RAD methodology. The market moves fast… as so do we. We build top quality software by leveraging highly talented personel and a blend of RAD methodologies that has been very successful.
  • Understand and internalize the need for high quality regression testing.
  • Take responsibility for the code you develop when its in production… you will be expected to support the applications you develop if operations has any issues.
  • The desire to have an incredible time working with people as creative as you are.
