For this premier investment bank, join a team to design and develop electronic trading capabilities supporting their proprietary fixed income trading platform. You will work with the trading desk to analyze business needs and provide strategic technology direction supporting platform development.
Responsibilities:
Define business requirements and design a technology solution for an electronic trading platform. Lead/support the development of the platform.
This IT team is business aligned and works side by side with the front and middle office teams. You will be working in a fast paced and creative environment, which provides many opportunities to learn end-to-end securities processing infrastructure and financial instrument details. The business unit is currently under-going substantial growth -new offices, new markets, and new products, which will provide many exciting systems development and integration opportunities for the development team.
Requirements: Java, C/C++, Object Oriented Design, Multi-Threaded/Event Driven programming experience, FIX protocol.
Strong understanding of fixed income instruments and trading strategies. Strong application design experience utilizing UML and/or OO Design Patterns.
