This role is a hands-on Project Lead for an electonic trading platform.
Focus on development and maintenance of a real time web-based trading system for both Banks and Customers. Manage both onshore and offshore teams. Be involved in the creation and expansion of the Offshore Development Center. Select development process and methodology to successfully integrate the offshore development center into the product development process.
The candidate will have a leading role working directly with the Head of Development to improve current software development processes, to implement new processes including RAD and test driven development and to represent development in the Software Quality Initiative…
The candidate must be able to clearly communicate at both technical and business levels.
Responsibilities:
–Manage project resources – small NY team, large Offshore team
–Work with Product Managers to identify and understand project scope
–Provide leadership and expertise in technical analysis
–Manage development in/of:
Transaction Router in JAVA
messaging infrastructure (JMS)
Jini network technology, which includes JavaSpaces Technology and Jini extensible remote invocation (Jini ERI)
internal monitoring facility for Transaction router
–Follow and improve existing design and coding standards
Experience/Requirements:
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems and must have minimum of 4 years of experience as a project lead implementing a real-time trading system.
Should be fluent in:
Realtime trading system
FX or Money Markets instruments
Expertise in Java / J2EE Technologies.
Understanding of Jini and JavaSpaces
Mastery of application server technology (JRUN, WebLogic, Tomcat, etc.)
Web application architectures-Experience with systems integration software
Messaging: SOAP, RMI, JMS
XML
UNIX/Linux
Relational DB concepts (Oracle)
HTTPS anad SSL protocol
Experience with the following a plus:
OMS System
JSP
C++
Utilities or Industry Standards like FIX and SWIFT
Web services
