This is a rare opportunity presented by one of Australia’s leading financiers. Working directly in the trading environment you will be the technical authority for a new trading platform, planned to be rolled out globally and extended.
The team comprises highly talented individuals, and the focus will be as the technical lead in the team, mentoring, setting standards, signing off or vetoing solutions.
The role requires strong, demonstrated skills in the following:
Java J2EE and OO development with at least seven years post-graduate experience. Skills in multi-threading will be highly regarded.
· Strong RDBMS with SQL and stored procedures, ideally with Sybase TSQL
· Experience with distributed systems development
· Open Source development
· XML and XSL
· Experience with FIX is an advantage.
You should also have a good degree in Computer Science of similar combined with experience in trading systems for Equities, Derivatives or similar traded instrument.
