Software development working in a project team responsible for designing, developing and supporting applications in prime brokerage and listed derivatives areas.
Workign in a dynamic team, forming good working relationships with end users and other technologists. Strong communication skills are essential.
Providing high quality production support to a demanding client base.
Design and implement solutions to improve application throughput and stability.
Experience / Skills:
4+ years of OO design and implementation experience, preferably in a financial environment.
3+ years of strong Java development experience, including multi-threading and jdbc. C# experience is a plus.
RDBMS experience essential, Sybase or UDB is needed, other RDBMS a plus.
Experience with real-time systems/messaging infrastructures highly desirable, along with experience of Perl.
Software design is an advantage as the candidate will be expected to actively contribute and in design and code review sessions.
