Developer - Java/XML/Ant/Applet/Servlet.
A rewarding opportunity working on Wall Street as part of a team that builds, extends and maintains real-time high-performance Order Management Systems (OMS) and market-leading software products.
Technically, this position requires extensive ‘hands on’ Java/ XML development experience in a LINUX / Sybase environment, with some shell scripting… Knowledge of trading products is a plus, specifically in Equities, Foreign Exchange and middle and back office processing. Previous experience with the development and maintenance of Order Management Systems is a significant plus.
Job requirements:
Java/XML/Ant/Applet/Servlet programming in multithreaded environment
UNIX/Linux inter-process communications
TCP/IP Protocols - understanding of inter-process data exchange protocols
Web Services/SOAP/XSL/XSLT experience is a plus
Sybase experience is a plus
Familiarity with middleware products (IBM MQ and ACE)is a plus
FIX-related business experience is a significant plus
A successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Practical problem solving abilities and the ability to manage real world design and execution problems are requirements to be successful. An aspirant should possess an exemplary work ethic and the ability to operate in a high performing team that makes commitments and delivers on them.
A Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college is strongly preferred. At least five years related professional experience within the trading & investment industry is required.
