I am working with Javelin appia simulator I am trying to get documentation on how to utilize this as a testing bed.
The documentation refers to test monitor and scripted testing.
I can not find my way to any of this.
Can some one point me in the direction of how I may get to this?
In order to use the simulator you can change a couple of files (simulator.ini and simulator.xml i think). there is a pdf document that shows you some of the features. On the scripted side you can add a delay so that all messages that come in will incur a x second delay before responding. In my experience that is between every step of the trade, order, ack, execution, change request, pending change, etc.
I believe you modify simulator.ini to get the connections set up and then configure the testbed with the xml file.

I brought up the PDF file and it discusses the simulator and the test mornitor but I can’t seem to bring any of it up.
If I launch the start_simulator.bat nothing happens.
Are you refering to the simulator reference guide (pdf)
It is not very clear on what to change to get this started?

Hi,
Please check if the JAVA_HOME attribute in the startup batch file is set.
Also, make sure that you have a valid key specified in the simulator.ini file and it is available. Default is located in the license directory of the Appia installation.
