Small hedgefund, nearly two years old, is seeking a junior - mid-level developer to work with the analysts and researchers on their various application needs. 3-6 years total experience, max.
Will be programming in Java, useful to have front end tools and experience, full life cycle experience - at least one project from beginning to end. Will report to the COO.
This person will be the only developer working for them.
Must have excellent personality and ability to work with particular, meticulous analysts.
Will be developing a suite of applications to allow data in various formats to be managed in the same way, via a browser based interface. Some data is in pdf files, some in excel, some in text. Some needs to be handled in a tabular way, some as forms, etc. The developer will be working with the analysts to satisfy their front end requirements, must be able to develop that req. into a screen.
will be doing some middle tier and backend development as well. They are a microsoft shop, they use Office, Access, some SQL Server.
Knowledge of investment terminology very helpful.
No relocation, no sponsorships.
Salary $50-$80K plus bonus.
