The FIX test and ceritfication group works with the AutEx FIX platform which delivers the full range of message types supported by the FIX protocol. The platform provides connectivity for several hundred buy and sell side firms communicating via the FIX protocol. The main goal of this role is to supervise and direct all AutEx FIX testing

The Integration Test Engineer will develop and apply Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol tests and procedures to ensure that third party FIX systems are compliant with the AutEx FIX platform. The procedures must be sufficiently thorough and complete to ensure that one time testing results in FIX compatibility with all other previously certified clients using the platform.

The incumbent of this role will:
-Conduct FIX testing with third parties to assess FIX compatibility with the AutEx FIX platform
-Develop FIX test workflow, FIX test plans and schemas to address current and upcoming platform functionality
-Maintain test results in a readily accessible format such that client questions relating to platform compatibility can be answered quickly and accurately by all memebers of the Connectivity group, not just the test engineers
-Review and resolution of messaging problems found in production following test and certification
-Assign testing tasks to the other engineers in the group. Review test progress and results. Mentoring the other engineers to develop their abilities and increase their FIX knowledge and understanding
-Participate as required in AutEx FIX product planning meetings to understand and plan for upcoming features and the associated testing requirements
-Work with clients and networking to gather the required production connectivity information and establish the intitial production connection.
-Participation in the public FIXprotocol.org messaging forum to better understand the FIX protocol and common issues and problems with the protocol a wide range of systems and applications.

This position resides in Boston, MA and requires limited travel

-3+ years experience working with the FIX protocol at a low level.
-Familiarity with basic TCP/IP networking
-Ability to lead and direct a small dedicated team.
-Previous experience with testing procedures and results management
-Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products
-An ability to address tasks and problems logically and systematically
-Thorough knowledge of common PC office applications
