Looking for feedback on "Flickr-style" tagging as means of doing FIX session management.

Imported from previous forum

CohesiveFT is developing “use-case” specific FIX appliances encapsulated within virtualization technologies like VMware, Parallels and Xen. Our latest appliances available for download have a tagging UI for managing access to FIX sessions in the appliance.

Rather than hierarchical groups for managing sessions we autogenerate a set of tags (FIX version for example), but also allow the administrator to create their own tags based on their own approach to tracking and monitoring FIX sessions. We would love to get some feedback on this type of UI for managing FIX sessions.

To give it a try just go to our FIX family page (http://www.cohesiveft.com/Pages/FIX_MicroSite/Home/) and download the use-case most interesting to you.

For Window’s and Linux machines, VMware has a free virtual machine player which can be used to run our software appliances. If you are a MAC user - you can try our appliances with a Parallels trial license.

Feedback can be provided via our forums at:

Thanks.
