NEW YORK, NY, January 12, 2004 — FIX Protocol Ltd’s increased support for Fixed Income with its latest version of the FIX messaging protocol — FIX 4.4, has resulted in deployment of the CameronFIX engine by MFS Investment Management.

With companies like MFS looking at other asset classes further down the trading chain to achieve greater efficiencies, CameronFIX supports all FIX versions 4.0 — 4.4 and all fixed income message types including offerings, quotes, new order, executions, allocation instructions and booking reports.

"We see strong benefits in using the FIX protocol for fixed income trading. We were looking to add that extra automation and efficiency with a flexible FIX engine that could be easily integrated with our existing trading system and communicate with all our counterparties including ATS’s and Brokers," said Steve Donovan, Director of Investment Technology, MFS Investment Management. "We ultimately chose CameronFIX for these reasons and the excellent support provided by the Cameron Systems technical team."

"With Fixed Income trading now recognized as the fastest growth area for the FIX protocol, Cameron Systems has proved it can deliver the flexible, out of the box FIX trading solution able to handle increased use across different asset classes," said Martin Koopman, Commercial Director, Cameron Systems. "We are dedicated to meeting the requirements of an evolving protocol and are pleased MFS are backing FIX for fixed income trading."
